UV Chamber Manufacturer in China

Environmental simulation and reliability test equipment factory with 19 years experience.

The UV chamber adopts high-precision fluorescent ultraviolet lamps to simulate the UV spectrum of sunlight. Combined with temperature control, humidity supply, and other mechanisms, it effectively reproduces various climatic conditions such as sunlight (UV spectrum), high temperature, high humidity, condensation, and dark cycles.

Applicable UV Chamber Testing Standards

Application: The UV chamber precisely controls internal temperature and humidity, creating periodic condensation on samples. This process comprehensively evaluates the damaging effects of sunlight, moisture, and temperature, including material aging phenomena such as fading, loss of gloss, strength degradation, cracking, peeling, chalking, and oxidation.

Our UV Chamber Standard Series

SZ-UV-430C

Key Advantages

Original UV Lamps

Our machines feature stable UV lamps from American Atlas, offering consistent results and reduced maintenance costs. Crafted with over 40 years of expertise, these lamps ensure reliable performance.

Photoelectric conversion irradiance meter

It monitors the irradiance intensity of the lamp tube, measurement wavelength range: 300~400nm, peak value: 340nm/313nm.

Water Spray Function

Our water spray system accurately mimics heat shock and mechanical erosion caused by sudden temperature changes or rain. With 8 strategically placed nozzles, it quickly cools samples to create realistic heat shock conditions, making it ideal for testing materials exposed to abrupt weather shifts.

Condensation Function

The condensation system replicates outdoor moisture damage, primarily from dew. By heating water to produce superheated steam, it maintains 100% humidity, simulating the natural process of dew formation. This exposes samples to a temperature gradient, causing condensation and testing their resistance to moisture-related stress.

FAQ About UV Chamber

What Is a UV Aging Test Chamber?

A UV aging test chamber, also known as a UV weathering test chamber, simulates the effects of ultraviolet sunlight, temperature, and humidity to test a material’s durability and aging performance.

UV aging test chambers are widely used in industries such as coatings, plastics, rubber, textiles, automotive, and electronics to evaluate the weather resistance of materials.

Common standards include:

  • ASTM G154 (Standard Practice for UV Aging)
  • ISO 4892-3 (Methods for Exposure to UV Light)
  • GB/T 16422.3 (China National Standard)

The chamber uses UV lamps to replicate sunlight’s ultraviolet spectrum. Combined with temperature and humidity controls, it accelerates material aging to predict how they perform in outdoor environments.

The duration depends on the testing standards and requirements, ranging from hundreds to thousands of hours. These accelerated tests can simulate months or years of outdoor exposure.

The most common lamp types are:

  • UVA Lamps: Simulate long-wave UV radiation (315-400nm) for general testing.
  • UVB Lamps: Emit shorter wavelengths (280-315nm) to accelerate material degradation.

Yes, UV chambers are equipped with water spray and condensation systems to replicate rain, dew, or high humidity environments.

  • Replace UV lamps regularly.
  • Check and clean the water spray system.
  • Regularly calibrate the equipment for accurate testing results.

While UV tests provide accelerated results, they are not a perfect substitute for long-term outdoor exposure tests. Both methods complement each other.

Consider the following factors:

  • Compliance with specific testing standards
  • Type of UV lamps (UVA or UVB)
  • Chamber size and sample capacity
  • Additional functions (e.g., humidity control, water spray system)

UV testing helps manufacturers understand how products withstand environmental conditions like sunlight, heat, and moisture, ensuring quality and longevity.

  • UVA Lamps: Ideal for long-term testing with a focus on surface damage.
  • UVB Lamps: Best for faster results by inducing harsher degradation, often used for research purposes.
